Debate
E- book can’t replace the use of print book

The topic of the debate will be given to the students previously. Based on the theme they can express their views by speaking either for the motion or against the motion for 5 mins. 3 teams will be shortlisted for the final round to be held on 8th October.

Cash Prizes:
1st Prize- Rs 2000, 2nd Prize-Rs 1000

Quiz:

Participants will have to register for the quiz in groups of 2. The quiz will consist of an elimination round wherein the participating groups will have to answer a response sheet. The final shortlisted groups will have a final round.

Cash Prizes:
1st Prize- Rs3000, 2nd Prize- Rs2000, 3rd Prize- Rs1000.

Talent hunt (Group performance)

The event aims to expose the hidden talents of the students. The students can showcase their talents in groups in the form of singing, dancing, drama, skit, mime or in any form of activity. 3 selected winner groups have to give their best performances for 10/15 mins on the library Day.

Cash Prizes: Rs 2000 for each group.

Best Book Reviewer (Compulsory to all dbim)
Each student will select any book of his/her choice and inform the librarian of the chosen title. He/she will then have to critically analyze the content of the book. The designated panel will select the best individual depending on the review submitted.

Timelines:
Last date for submission of review to librarian: 4th Oct’2012
Best reviewer will be selected by the review panel and the  award to be announced on: 8th Oct’12

Format to submit the review:
Paper size: A4 paper
Maximum Page Limit: 1
Font: 12, Times New Roman

Cash Prize: Rs 1000.

Julhash Ali Library scholar award

The award is primarily designed with the intention to promote student participation in the library as well as to enhance student footfalls in the library. The award will constitute a cash prize given to the student who makes the best utilization of library resources and is the most regular visitor to the library. Other criteria will consist of library ethics, discipline and personal conduct displayed throughout the year.

Selection Panel: Librarian and all the MBA faculties.

Cash Prize: Rs 3000

Best Volunteer award:
The students have to take initiative in monitoring and organizing all the events. The best volunteers will be rewarded basing on their performances and organizational skill.

NB: Interested MBA students can submit their names to the librarian as volunteers.
